Re: Hipsters invade East Ham
I live in Walthamstow, I'm originally from E17 but have lived in N London for the last 20 years as going out, pubs, restaurants, bars etc. were all better imo.

But Walthamstow has now caught up & even betters the social offerings offered in places in places I lived in previously, Stroud Green, Crouch Hill for instance.

There is a small hipster element but its more middle class couples & families moving in, I'm no class snob but it is odd hearing some of the plumy accents around, crazy to think that E17 has changed so much.

Are these hipsters going to push the present residents of East Ham out to places like Upminster?

Hope not or I'm off!

Re: Hipsters invade East Ham
Male hipsters are easy to spot. Twirly moustaches, impossibly skinny jeans, no socks, reading comic books while riding unicycles. However, what does a female hipster look like? Easy to confuse with lesbians.

By the way does anyone remember the railwaymanS working mens club on southend road in East ham? I spent many a night there learning how to play pool and win on the bingo. Can't find any reference to it anywhere in the Internet.

PB, I know one of these 'erberts, who a little while back bought a flat off the Roman, just shy of 400k, cash of course, daddy's money. Priced out of Bethnal Green/Shoreditch. Go fucking figure. Bethnal Green road, and the area around it in general is a dump, and Spurs to boot. But these cunts want to live there, and yes, they won't lose money, but ultimately they know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

So is Shoreditch, Hoxton, most of Hackney, crept into Mile End, Clapham, Angel, Dulwich, Bermondsey, Lewisham, Old Street, Clerkenwell...

Is there anywhere these parasites can't afford?

East Ham used to be nice? I lived Manor Park way for six months and my only salvation was the Victoria Cross, Pub.

I think the road was Gainsborough Avenue. My life what a toilet. At the time I couldn't wait to get back to Mile End. That said, give that dump over the place it's going to turn into.

I actually like east ham too stomper, the high street is buzzing on a Saturday afternoon and I like the mix of cultures. Wouldn't want to live there but then I wouldn't want to live anywhere in London as its far too uptight

Having to leave east London soon.

Can't afford, newham, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham or havering.

Will have to move to an Essex slum like Loughton or Buckhurst Hill.

They've got their eye on the Thames View Estate. Charlton Crescent is on a par with anywhere in Hampstead.
